Agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and members of the public sector carried out four raids in the province of La Vega and arrested two men identified as part of a criminal structure linked to the seizure of 371 packages of cocaine, recently confiscated at the Caucedo Multimodal Port.
In the operation, which involved five prosecutors and more than 100 agents, intervention took place at Jamo Export & Import in La Vega and at an export company located on the highway. Cayetano Germosen, Sabana de los Jiménez and two apartments in the University Gardens and Clarinel II residential areas, where they occupied 04 vehicles, Cell phones, computers, documents and other evidence.
The detainees include Fabrisio Marte Castillo and Fausto Marte Quezada, both of whom have arrest and search warrants (numbers 530-2024 and 973-2024, respectively), who, according to the investigation, were part of an international drug trafficking network to which the authorities provided assistance. He had been on his trail for five months.
“Elicio Martí Quesada is wanted in this case and remains at large, and we urge you to surrender to authorities in response to the charges against him.”
In the meantime, the detainees are in the charge of the Public Affairs Department of the Permanent Attention Jurisdiction of the City of Santo Domingo del Este, and the coercive measures will be determined in the next hours.
On June 27, the Public Ministry and the DNCD continued to intensify their investigation and arrested other persons involved in the shipment of 19 double-bottomed tanks filled with honey from the port of Caucedo to Belgium.
