According to preliminary reports, a traffic accident occurred in the Bastida community of Las Yayas, Azua Province in the early hours of Sunday, killing at least 7 people and injuring 17 others.
The incident occurred when a truck loaded with avocados lost control and crashed into a bar where several people were gathered.
The injured were taken to San Juan de la Maguana.
