The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries (MALF) of Trinidad and Tobago has announced that the TT Agri Expo will be held at Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain from August 16 to 18, 2024. The theme of the event is “From Farm to Fork: Revolutionizing the Local Food Supply Chain”which is expected to further enhance the agricultural landscape in the region.
The 2024 Trinidad and Tobago AgriExpo is the ideal platform to stimulate dialogue among key stakeholders to scale up investment and achieve Trinidad and Tobago’s vision for food and nutrition security. Building on the success of the 2022 AgriInvestment Forum and Expo, this year’s event will focus on the importance of local food production and consumption to economic growth and food security. It will showcase cutting-edge climate-smart agricultural technologies and promote innovation while increasing investment opportunities.
Key highlights of the upcoming TT Agri-Expo 2024 include a livestock competition segment, a designated children’s area, and an expanded exhibit where stakeholders can showcase products as well as the latest advancements in agricultural practices. The event will feature an insightful Business-to-Business (B2B) segment, providing exhibitors with the opportunity to build relationships within the industry. Attendees of all ages can enjoy attractions such as a farmers’ market, an entertainment center, an agricultural equipment area, a petting zoo, and a dedicated area for aquaculture/fisheries. Opportunities to network with industry experts will also be available throughout the event. As an added feature, MALF, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Trinidad and Tobago 4-H Leadership Council, is hosting “The Chow Down Competition” specifically for students to showcase their culinary talents.
