Rivera from Apollo offers his hypothesis as to why the Norwegians have now ripped up their last ticket to warmer climes.
– We forget about the Norwegian summer weather year after year. Before summer arrives, we think a Norwegian holiday will be wonderful, but when the holiday approaches, reality sets in. Then suddenly we have to go out and travel.

Rivera said they have also seen a significant increase in the number of Norwegians who have already booked their summer vacations for next year. She also linked this to the weather.

All three major tour operators have multiple trips to four-star hotels in August priced at NOK 6,000 or more per person.

- On August 5, you can take Ving from Oslo to the coast of Varna in Bulgaria for 6,245 NOK
