In its meeting today, the government decided to honour the memory of the late economist and politician Dusan Snigoi A funeral with military honors has been arranged. The funeral of the last chairman of the Executive Committee of the Socialist Republic of Slovenia (SRS) will be held in accordance with the rules of service of the Slovenian Army.
According to a government press release, the proposal to hold a military funeral for Shinigo was made by Marian Siftal Together with other initiators, member of the SRS Executive Council from 1984 to 1990.
As they write, Dusan Sinigoj made an indelible mark on Slovenia’s well-being as Chairman of the SRS Executive Committee and in many other responsible positions in politics and public life.
Under his leadership, the Executive Committee, within its mandate, actively worked together to lay the foundations for a peaceful democratic transition in Slovenia, for a new chapter in Slovenian history, and for the independence and independence of Slovenia.
Slovenian biographers say Sinigoj took over leadership of the Slovenian government as Yugoslavia’s social and economic crisis worsened, and his former colleagues have stressed his contribution in laying the foundations for an independent state.
