The coach he trained with was not around
A 6-year-old boy complained to his mother that he almost drowned while swimming in a private pool. However, the pool management and coaches ignored the incident. Information about the incident is Publish On social networks.
This is what the parents said about what happened.
“After the training, at home, my son told me that he almost drowned. His vest untied while swimming, flew off, floated away, and he began to drown. The coach was not around. My son said he was very scared. Fortunately, there was a rope nearby that saved his life. He grabbed it and reached shallow water independently.”
The child’s mother immediately contacted the pool management.
“I started calling our phone number and asking to see the cameras and find out what happened. To find out (children are at an age where they can exaggerate something or exaggerate out of fear) what actually happened. They promised to look into it and write to me. A day passed. Quiet. I again asked the pool management to contact me. Quiet. The weekend passed. Quiet. Monday was my son’s birthday. On Tuesday, I went to the pool on my own because no one contacted me.”
According to her, the head of the agency is aware of the situation.
“Yes, she admitted that she saw the child “drink some water” in the video. This was a description of the situation when her son started to drown without a vest. They apologized. I told her about the fact that the child had not learned to swim in 4.5 months and that it was not normal to leave the child without attention and treat this situation as normal. The response she got was that she has 500 children and she cannot control the results of each child she works with a coach. Now that our son has been transferred to an experienced specialist, there will be results now! I asked for the video of the incident. I watched it. I was terrified. She left in shock.”
After returning home, the parents watched the video again.
“I realized how serious the matter was. For a long time, my son did not receive attention from the person who was directly responsible for everything that happened during training. There were only two children in our team and everything had to be arranged so that both children could receive the attention of the coach. Since I myself was in the education system, I know what lies behind the concepts of “quality of education”, “responsibility” and “liability” that organizations offer when providing services. Especially everything related to children.”
