The arrival and departure areas of the Palau International Airport terminal have been given a new look and feel. The once drab walls are now filled with vivid, colorful underwater scenes that are sure to bring a sense of beauty and excitement to visitors to Palau. These beautiful murals were created by renowned Japanese muralist Mr. Kensuke Miyazaki as part of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Palau. The work incorporated students from local elementary schools and residents. The completion ceremony was held yesterday, July 29, 2024, at the Palau International Airport.Eligible retirees line up to receive their $480 social assistance payment yesterday, July 29, as a result of the enactment of the last round of supplementary budgets. The line stretched from the Chamayong Cultural Center to Mindzenty High School until about 9:30 a.m. Last Friday, those with incomes between $15,000 and $30,000 received their $480 tax refund.
