Three SKN police supervisors attend RSS Junior Leadership Course

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS (WINN) – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has announced that three officers from the force will participate in the 2024 Youth Leadership Course organized by the Regional Security System (RSS) Training Academy. The selected officers are Sergeant Devon Govia, Corporal Jean Joseph and Corporal Coretta Mills.

The course will be held at the St. Kitts and Nevis Coast Guard Base from August 5 to September 13, 2024. The trainees will be from the police and defense forces of RSS member countries, a total of 26, including three non-commissioned officers (NCOs) from the St. Kitts and Nevis Defense Force.

The Junior Leadership Course is designed to equip officers and police officers from RSS member states with the skills and knowledge to effectively supervise and lead within their respective units. The programme focuses on general supervision and leadership, preparing participants to take on the responsibilities and challenges associated with their roles.

The participation of RSCNPF supervisors in this training programme reflects the force’s commitment to continuing professional development. The skills gained from this course are expected to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the police

RSCNPF operations contribute to public safety in the Alliance community.
