Three Jamaican men have been arrested and charged after they were killed and their girlfriend injured in Panama City Beach, Florida.

The deceased was named O’Neill McDonald, 23 years old, reportedly the son of a former Jamaican national football team player. The injured woman was 21 years old.

The accused are Andre Jermaine Ranglin, 23, Devaughn Devante Jones, 23, and Ricardo Everton Golden, 37, all of Panama City Beach.

Langlin was charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, three counts of attempted second-degree murder, discharge of a lethal missile into an occupied dwelling and attempted armed burglary.

Jones was charged with murder and destruction of evidence, and Golden was also charged with murder.

The Panama City Beach Police Department said Tuesday they received a call about shots fired at the 10X Apartment Building at 9700 Panama City Beach Boulevard.

According to reports, responding officers found McDonald’s body with several gunshot wounds near the 1300 building. Police also found the woman with a gunshot wound.

Emergency responders administered first aid to the victim and transported her to hospital, where she underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

According to investigators, there had been an ongoing dispute between McDonald and Langlin. Investigators said evidence showed Langlin approached McDonald’s apartment building from a nearby location while wearing a dark hoodie.

McDonald was reportedly outside the building when the gunman shot him several times. He ran away, but the gunman chased him through the parking lot and continued shooting, eventually killing him. Investigators said McDonald was shot with more than 10 bullets.

After the killing, the gunman reportedly turned his attention to the woman, who was standing next to the deceased. When the deceased tried to hide in the apartment, the gunman reloaded his ammunition and shot her several times, police reported.

When she tried to close the apartment door, the gunman unsuccessfully tried to push it open and reportedly fired one shot through the door, striking the woman in the chest.

Investigators said after the shooting, Langlin fled the scene on foot and made contact with Jones. Golden then reportedly picked up the two and took them to a motel in Bonifay, Florida. From there, they traveled to Dothan, Alabama.

The U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force found Langlin and Jones hiding at a local motel in Dothan, Alabama. They are currently being held in Houston County, Alabama, awaiting extradition. Golden is being held in the Bay County Jail. (Jamaica Observer)
