The Belarusian posted a video on TikTok showing the queue in front of the Borisov clinic at 6 a.m. According to the author of the video, there were at least 17 people standing there at the time.
In the caption of the video, the Belarusian clarified that this is the queue at the reception of the Children’s Department of Clinic No. 1. “At 5:50 in the morning, we were number 17 in the queue to receive a voucher for a school medical checkup,” she wrote.
“This is the first time I’ve heard of this. The nurse at our local pediatrician issued a certificate for the school physical examination. There is no need to wait in line, especially starting at five in the morning,” said the narrator under the video.
“Call the Ministry of Health and the problem will be solved,” she was told.
Another TikTok user said that if they had started getting medical checkups earlier, “it would have been easier.” “Going in June wouldn’t have been a problem,” a third suggested.
Another user described the process: “Started lining up at 5am, then went down to the office, until I walked into the office and the doctor wrote ‘healthy’ within a minute.”
“Last week, I arrived at 4 a.m. to book a second eye doctor’s ticket, which was already the second one,” the narrator shared her experience.
Another woman said she had a medical examination at Borisov Clinic No. 4 in July: “A few weeks ago. I passed the medical examination in a week, I didn’t stand anywhere.”
“Bullying,” a third commentator wrote.
Another TikTok user reported that in Rogachev, in the Gomel region, medical examinations in kindergartens and schools are carried out without coupons.
Telegraf.news previously reported that Belarusian Health Minister Alexander Khodzhaev ordered the elimination of queues in the country’s clinics in late January 2024. The head of the Ministry of Health instructed his subordinates to “reduce the time patients stay in clinics”, strengthen the prevention of cross-infection among patients, and ensure the quality of laboratories.
