A shepherd dog named Klar has been found after being believed missing in Türkiye’s Erzurum region.
Milli.Az cites publika.az as reporting that the Kaya family’s thousand sheep were brought back to the barn in the evening after grazing on the Sunnet Plateau at an altitude of 3,200 meters.
The shepherd noticed that King, one of the eight dogs in the herd, and a pregnant sheep were missing.
Two days later, shepherds grazing in the area discovered the king along with the lost sheep and newborn lambs.
Ferit Kaya, the owner of the herd, said he rewarded the king with a calf leg.
One of the shepherds, Azat Miroglu, said they were surprised by the king’s loyalty: “The king had not come for two days. Two days later, when we went to the plain again, we saw him with sheep and lambs. The king stayed with the sheep that remained for two days, and although he was hungry and thirsty, he protected the sheep and led us, and fell asleep after seeing it.”
