Fersin C. (alias “Cucaracha”) was arrested during an operation in Palenque on Saturday, June 29. The citizen is considered a medium-value target in the province of Los Rios.
The National Police detailed this tonight.
During the operation, uniformed police officers nabbed alias “Cucaracha” and another citizen while travelling in an allegedly stolen vehicle and in possession of firearms.

The median target currently has an arrest warrant for murder and has a criminal record for robbery, kidnapping and ransom.
While conducting a control operation on the Palenque Highway, the police saw two people in a car trying to escape the operation, so the uniformed police stopped the vehicle.
There, they detained the occupants and found two guns and 13 rounds of ammunition during a search of the vehicle.

The agents verified the data of the above individuals through the National Police Integrated Computer System and confirmed that citizen Fersin C. (co-pilot) had an active arrest warrant for murder in addition to the vehicle they were riding in (which was reported stolen on May 28, 2024 while traveling in Guayas).
In this context, the police issued an arrest warrant for Fersin C. and arrested his companion José V. (I)
