Santo Domingo.- A man was shot dead under unclear circumstances, causing unrest in the Eduardo Brito neighborhood of Pedro Brande, where a sister of the deceased was also recently killed.
Andri Cabrera was found dead on Francisco del Rosario Sanchez Street in the neighborhood with at least four gunshot wounds and one hand severed.
His relatives are shocked by what happened and are convinced that the 31-year-old’s death was a result of their fight against petty trafficking in the area.
“It’s happening to my family and it could happen to another family tomorrow and I don’t want another family to go through what we’re going through and our hearts are broken,” he said. Manuel Cabrera, the deceased’s brother.

They explained that a sister of the deceased had also been killed under rare circumstances not long ago and asked the authorities to investigate the case.
After the arrival of the deceased’s body, it will be laid to rest at her maternal home and buried in the city cemetery.
The shooting that killed Cabrera also shocked residents in the area and kept them awake all night starting this morning.
Residents of the neighborhood also added that criminal activities plague the area on a daily basis and there is almost no police patrol.
