There are 19 rescue stations on Sevan Beach

Pan-Armenian Network -According to the commander of the special rescue service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations, there are about 19 rescue stations on the beaches of Lake Sevan with a total of 37 lifeguards.

“The stations are open all day. At the two new public beaches on the peninsula and in the area near the beach in the city of Sevan, the service operates even under a stricter regime,” Samvir Mkelchin Speaking at a press conference in Yerevan.

The commander said there were no accidents during this season’s beach season at Lake Sevan, compared with five accidents during the same period last year.

He also stressed that Armenian rescue workers have been retrained and equipped with all the necessary equipment.

Talking about the salaries of rescue workers, Mkrtchyan noted that their average salary is 65,000 to 70,000 Armenian drams.
