The 2024 Western Cup Championship is in full swing at the JFK Stadium in Gizo, with the competition entering its 3rd day and producing exciting results.

Western Football Association executive committee member Loren Hanley LeLapiteau said the start of the Group C and Group D matches brought endless excitement to the fans.

The result of today’s game was that Simarovo won with a decisive 3-0 victory over North Rendova.

Lario scored the first goal for Simarovo, and Tuni scored another goal in the 43rd minute after the kick-off.

Before the final whistle, Ronnie scored again for Simarovo to seal the victory.

In the other match, South Ranonga defeated Kolombangara 2-1.

Olo put South Ranonga ahead in the sixth minute, but Kolombangara’s Dessinton Davies equalised in the 26th minute.

South Ranonga then bounced back with a goal from John Kowasa in the 48th minute of the second half to put the team ahead.

In the final match of the day, Sigizo proved their dominance by defeating Simbo 3-0.

Benbassi opened the scoring for Sigizo in the 6th minute, while Manashpaa added another goal in the first half.

In the second half, Apollos Ahiou scored the third goal for Sijizo.

“South Ranonga and Sigizo really showed their theatrical spirit in their opening group stage matches,” Le Lapitou added.

The game will continue at 10 am tomorrow, and fans are eagerly looking forward to more exciting games.
