On July 27, 2024, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security (Minister of Human Security), Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, revealed that according to the policy of organizing beggars issued by the Ministry of Human Rights. Help prevent and solve the problem of begging across the country by fully cooperating with network partner agencies. In addition, a public relations campaign was launched to inform the public that begging is illegal. Recently, at 8 pm on July 26, the Ministry of Human Rights sent officers from the Bangkok Homeless Rapid Response Team through the Center for Accelerated People’s Welfare Administration (CSR). The Ministry of Social Development and Welfare, together with officers from the Khlong Toei District Office and Watthana District, Phra Khanong Police Station, went to the local area to organize beggars and homeless people. Near BTS On Nut Station because there were complaints about homeless people attacking people.

Mr. Varaut said that since visiting the area CRES reported that no beggars were found. But 3 homeless people were found in public places, all Thai. So, he was invited to the police station. For initial screening, all 3 cases agreed to accept the assistance and protection of the Bangkok Homeless Protection Center, in addition, the Rapid Mobile Action Team of the Bangkok Homeless Protection Center. Baan Mai Tri Sai Mai went to the area to organize beggars and homeless people. No beggars were found in the Chatuchak area but two homeless people were found, but both refused to accept the help and protection of the center. The officers tried to talk about the various assistance provided by the center and found two talent performers who held talent show cards from the Ministry of Secondary Education and learned about the permission request from the district office.
