
The Venetian Macao on Thursday opened Macao’s first “dual-city” airport counter, providing passengers with flight information, limited check-in services and shuttle buses to Hong Kong and Zhuhai airports.

Baggage drop services are currently unavailable at the counter, meaning passengers will still need to check in their luggage upon arrival at the airport.
The counter will be able to check in only for a limited number of airlines, but after the initial period of operation, the government plans to expand the service.

“In the initial stage of flights at Hong Kong Airport, we provide check-in services for four airlines, namely Cathay Pacific, Greater Bay Airlines, Hong Kong Express and Hong Kong Airlines,” said Chen Wenyu, a representative of the counter operator. “After that, we will gradually expand the service to other airlines.”
Regarding Zhuhai flights, Mr. Chen said that the counter provides “upbound services” for most airlines operating at airports in mainland China.
