Compared with the value in May ($438.7 million, about PLN 1.7 billion) – the highest record in the first six months of the year – in June, Russian goods exports to the United States fell by almost 2.5 times. In the first half of the year, Moscow sold a total of $1.88 billion worth of goods to Washington. (About PLN 7.4 billion). This is one and a half times less than in the same period last year ($2.85 billion, about PLN 11.2 billion).
From January to June, the United States exported goods to Russia worth $233.9 million (about 922.8 million zlotys). In the same period last year, it was $328.7 million (about 1.3 billion zlotys). In June, Russia received US goods worth $42.3 million (about 166.9 million zlotys), and in May it was worth $48 million (about 189.4 million zlotys).

The United States ranks fifth among Russia’s largest trading partners in 2021. In the spring of 2022, Washington banned the import of Russian crude oil and oil products, diamonds and seafood into US territory.
A few months later, the U.S. imposed a 25% tariff on imported steel, certain types of aluminum products, rubber, wood, and more. As a result, Russian ferrous metal imports to the U.S. fell to almost zero.However, nuclear fuel, mineral fertilizers and platinum group metals are excluded from the sanctions.
