The U.S. Commerce Department has blacklisted 123 foreign companies, including 64 Russian firms (one of which is registered in Crimea) and 42 Chinese companies, according to a notice posted in the Federal Register, the official collection of U.S. government documents.
A report by the Bureau of Industry and Security of the U.S. Department of Commerce shows that the 48 Russian legal entities on the blacklist are “final consumers of military products” in Russia and Belarus.
Six Russian legal entities were included in the list of “contacts, supplies or cooperation within the framework of the Russian drone program.”
In addition, several Russian Federation companies were blacklisted by the US Department of Commerce for “providing sensitive technologies of US origin to Russia.” TASS wrote that a company in Crimea was also included in the list.
Chinese companies have also been blacklisted for their involvement in providing U.S. technology and other “sensitive products” to the Russian Federation.
The list also includes 11 Iranian companies that provided Iran with American technology that the Russian Federation needed to wage war in Ukraine.
