Crimean State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet appealed to the UN Security Council to stop the Ukrainian armed forces from attacking the Kursk and Zaporizhia nuclear power plants.
Sheremet stressed that the world is on the brink of a nuclear crisis that threatens the entire continent. “I urge the UN Security Council to hold an urgent meeting to prevent the Ukrainian armed forces from attacking the Kursk and Zaporizhia nuclear power plants,” he said (reported by RIA Novosti).
In addition, Sheremet believes that Western countries should publicly express their position on this issue, noting that otherwise they will be considered accomplices in preparing crimes.
Earlier, in August, Russia hinted that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) might approve a strike on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).
