The search for bodies of victims of the landslide in Gezer Gofa area of Gofa region was stopped yesterday after 10 days of efforts, the Southern Regional Government of Ethiopia announced.
The director of the local government’s communications office, Ms. Senat Salomon, said the bodies recovered were buried with dignity, but the bodies of six people could not be found.
On the other hand, a resident of Kebele who has yet to find the bodies of his family members and relatives said, “We will not stop searching until their bodies are found,” he told VOA over the phone.
