The Prime Minister of Vietnam has ordered all government agencies and state-owned enterprises to fly flags at half-mast for two days from August 1 to 2, 2024 to mourn the death of Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

On July 31, 2024, Prime Minister’s Office spokesman Chai Vaucaron revealed that Prime Minister Setha Thawisin has ordered all government agencies and state-owned enterprises to fly flags at half-mast. Pay high tribute to Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He passed away on July 19, 2024 at the age of 80.

By designating the lowering of the flag to half-mast. On Thursday, August 1, 2024 and Friday, August 2, 2024, a total of 2 working days, we kindly ask all government agencies to cooperate and fly the flag at half-mast on these two days.
