Bykhovsky District / Corr. BELTA /, July 27. The second day of the Big Bard Fishing Festival was held on the banks of the Chigirinsky Reservoir in the Bykhovsky District, BELTA correspondents reported.
Traditionally, the festival is held at the entertainment complex of JSC Mogilev Metallurgical Plant. A whole festival city unfolds here.
The program of the second day was as always interesting and full. There were fishing competitions (participants joked that after all, what would Minstrel Fishing be like without fishing), a beach volleyball championship, a competition for the most delicious preparation of aromatic fish soups and fish dishes. Today’s festival will determine the queen of “Minstrel Fishing”.
Alexander Shakolo shared the recipe for his delicious fish soup. “In fact, everything is simple. You put all the necessary ingredients for a classic fish soup in a pot or pan, and adding fresh air and mood will add flavor to the fish soup. “It was my first time at this festival and I didn’t expect so many people here. It seems that bards usually perform in some small rooms with a small audience, but here there were so many talented people. It was a very cool festival with a lot of people and a lot of listeners. “
Anna Alkhovik and Anastasia Sinyavskaya came to the festival for the first time. “We decided to try living in a tent, we liked everything about sleeping in a tent,” they noted, “We tried fish soup, but we didn’t have enough pepper, and we didn’t want to spoil the impression of the festival.”
Bream, silver bream, roach and red bream are biting in Chigilinka today, say enthusiastic fishermen. One of the fishermen is Minsk resident Vitaly Zhorov. He was well prepared for fishing; today he caught more fish with his rod. The man admits that he mostly caught small things. “There is no secret to fishing, even if you beat the tambourine, if the fish don’t bite, that’s it,” he laughs.
Thematic locations increase the diversity of the festival, and everyone can find something that suits their interests. Here you can enjoy teas with lavender, mint, lemon balm, raspberries, dried apples and strawberries, lemon zucchini jam, raspberries, blackcurrants and strawberries. Since the holiday takes place in nature, a health trail has been created for guests. All this is organized by the Byakhovsky Regional Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology.
The main and most important features are songs and poems, full of serious lyrics about philosophy of life and love. Performances with guitar chords in the fresh air bring a special atmosphere to the festival. That’s why guests love this festival.
As the festival’s founder and executive director Sergei Kulyagin said, this year a rich variety of creative ideas will be presented on stage. “This year we have an international duo: the famous Minsk blues guitarist, Belarusian Ilya Shevchik, is here with his wife, a Filipino citizen,” he noted. “Folk rock, minstrel rock also sounded at the festival. The format and boundaries, we are not limited to three chords and a purely original classic minstrel song, the original song has become different, it attracts people’s attention, thanks to the fact that we have been forming for more than 13 years. I think people appreciate poetry.”
As always, the “Forest Stage” located in the Tent City remains a special attraction. As the host of this stage, Minsk resident Yegor Gakin said that three generations of performers met at Bad Fishing. “The oldest, including Andrei Kozlovsky, who is 65 years old this year; the second generation, 45-50-year-old bards, are clearly represented on various stages, including the younger generation,” he noted. “In the process, three generations carefully passed on the lyrics, notes and essence of the bard’s songs: soulful, bright, open, and enchanting the audiences on the big stage of our festival and the Forest Stage.”
Natalya Vilyugo and her husband came to the festival for the third time. “We came here because we like the atmosphere, many hobbies, beautiful nature,” said the woman. “My husband did not participate in the fishing competition. But he is really looking forward to seeing the results.” “Who is lucky today?”
The festival will continue with its evening program. Guests will enjoy a poetry evening, original programs, awards for winners of festival competitions, a gala concert of winners and diploma winners of the art song and poetry competition “Your Circle”, a concert of the “Small Orchestra of Hope”, and a celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
On Sunday, the festival town will open its open-air cinema, the bard marathon “Goodbye!” will also take place. Guests, winners and diploma recipients of the art song and poetry competition “Your Circle” will take part.
Sergey Kulyakin noted that the holiday is a revival of tourist family holidays. “Everything is important here: beautiful nature, beautiful poetry, songs, relaxing romance, pitching tents. Many people understand that they should not live in agricultural estates, many campers come here, people sing in tent camps. Chat, make friends, get closer,” he concluded.
