Fortunately, not everything is negative in this beautiful, small and devastated country of Manuelito, because we also have every reason to cheer up and comfort our lethargic spirits; in recent days, almost every day there have been news that fills us with pride and great satisfaction. This is the case of our brave, hardworking and courageous athletes who, despite the lack of support and motivation, have and continue to hold high the name of our beloved country. I do not want to mention names, however, it is worth highlighting some of the fantastic participants who have stood out in this interesting competition, such as: Daniel Pintado, Glenda Morejón, Óscar Patín, Neisi Dajomes, Richard Carapaz, Jefferson Pérez, Tamara Salazar, Lucía Yepes, Domenica Romero and Angie Palacios. I will not mention more names as the list is too extensive but I do want to record the warm admiration of myself and all my countrymen who express the highest appreciation and appreciation for their outstanding participation in various categories and disciplines. Our outstanding representatives participated in this conference with determination, excellence and patriotism, winning medals, diplomas, honors and more international recognition.
