Igor Bergler, the bestselling Romanian author of the last 30 years, has sent a petition to his followers complaining that the excessive paneling of the “soldier” Nicolae Ciucă is “the biggest marketing campaign ever launched for a book that should not be read by anyone”. The famous author compares the PNL leader to “Moş Teacă” and demands “a piece on each panel where he can promote his book in turn”.
Igor Bergler, author of the bestselling novels The Lost Bible and The Testament of Abraham for nearly 30 years, gave a harsh description of Nicolae Ciucă.
It is known that the country is full of billboards advertising the so-called books of the notorious plagiarist, the general of the army of death, our soldier Chuka, with public funds (ours, everyone’s), that is, a completely private initiative. We are dealing with a worldwide phenomenon, the old man of the new rite is using the funds collected from our taxes to implement the largest marketing campaign ever for a book that no one in the history of the world will read without asking anyone. We, says Igor Bergler.
Bergler, who received Romania’s most important publishing award at the Gaudeamus Book Fair, admitted that he had enough money for “about three or four sections” and sarcastically asked to make room for the section on Nicolae Ciucă’s book – ‘A soldier serving his country’ – Be able to promote their texts.
Abuse and grotesque circumstances aside, I have decided to use the tax money stolen from me for this campaign, just as the vain lead soldier in the photo has done. That is, to buy with them a piece of each panel on which I can in turn promote my book. “Since my fees only cover about three or four panels, please support me and agree to use your fees for the same purpose so that I can also place advertisements on the margins of as many panels as possible,” the author concluded.
The novel is sold in more than 30 countries
