Today, the graduation ceremony of the fifth batch of students of the Arabic Film and Television School of the Faculty of Arts was witnessed by Professor Dr. Ghada Jbara, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, in the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Hisham Gamal, Professor Dr. Mona Al-Sabban and Dean of the Faculty Peter Mimi.
The Arab Film and Television Academy aims to provide opportunities for these art lovers who cannot study in academic institutions to acquire writing, screenwriting, directing, montage, animation, production, sound, Professor Dr. Mona Al-Saban, the school’s dean, said that what makes her most happy is that she can teach the language of film to students of different ages from all over the world. Last year, a 77-year-old student graduated from the school and is now directing the film she wrote.
On the other hand, director Peter Mimi said that at the beginning of his love for film, he studied at medical school and tried to direct his first documentary, but he found many errors in the sound and image. By chance, he got to know the Arab Film and Television Academy, and after extensive studies, he was able to direct an excellent documentary and participated in many international film festivals.
Finally, Jabara expressed that the Academy helps and supports any educational project that helps spread the arts to all fans, including the Arab Academy of Film and Television, whose students graduate every year and confirm the success and excellence of the Academy in Egypt by providing a pioneering experience in distance learning for all Arabic speakers.
