The death toll from Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon has risen to 10, including two children, the Lebanese Health Ministry and official media announced on Saturday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said most of the dead were Syrian citizens.
The state news agency reported that a brick factory in the Natabtiya district on the outskirts of Kafr was attacked. According to previous reports, it was a residential building.
The dead included the brick factory supervisor, a Syrian citizen and his entire family.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said five other people were wounded in the Israeli strikes, some of them in critical condition.
The Israeli military said its air force had struck a weapons depot of the Hezbollah militant group in the Nabataean region, and the army also launched artillery attacks to eliminate threats in other parts of southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said reports of civilian injuries in the attack were being verified.
Israel attacked the southern Lebanese village of Aitalon on Friday, killing at least one person and injuring another, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said.
Lebanon’s pro-Iranian movement Hezbollah said a militant had been killed but did not say when or where.
The Israeli army announced that it had attacked a military building in the Etalon area where Hezbollah terrorists were operating.
Hezbollah has been engaged in daily battles in Lebanon and Israel since the start of the Gaza war.
More than 120 civilians were killed, most of them on the Lebanese side.
