Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to debate in order to be objective about topics related to the daily reality of society.
Nevertheless, sincere, objective criticism by every citizen is still needed to allow us to find possible solutions. This is to be able to improve the living conditions of our people through the management of public life by decision-makers.
Of course, there are reasons that justify the cost of living, but what interests us is the difficulties associated with the management of daily life by the heads of households. They struggle to find enough nutrition to meet the needs of their respective families. The scarcity of money in circulation is something that everyone notices.
Every day that God created, women and men struggled to make ends meet. And this was achieved by completing the various jobs at hand. Now the situation is such that we no longer have the choice of what job to do. The most important thing is to find something to do to support the family.
Professional activity, especially in the private sector, is barely functioning anymore. There are no more customers. Those who do buy no longer pay in cash. Shopkeepers around Bamako have notebooks filled with the names of customers who owe them money.
The remedy, illusory as it may be, is a game of chance. PMUs and football betting are a refuge where everyone bets their money in the hope of a greater return. It is difficult to eat every day. Especially now that everything on the market has become so expensive. For this, 2,000 to 3,000 CFA francs are no longer enough to guarantee good food for the entire average family. Many heads of households can no longer sleep and have to think about how to feed their families the next day.
As a result, families go through dark times. As family activities decline, joy, laughter and love become less and less, some people unconsciously become commercial motorcycle drivers. Take motorcycle taxis, for example! Apparently, this simply does not work for a large number of Malians. So what to do?
Only the authorities can find appropriate emergency solutions to the cost of living problem in the near future. Their genius is certainly trustworthy. They are fully capable of lifting people out of this miserable state of poverty by initiating the necessary preventive mechanisms.
