Minsk, July 26 / Corr. BELTA /. Today at 22:40 the last mobile diesel generator in the village of Lozki, Kalinkovichi District was shut down. BELTA learned about this through the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
To restore some parts of the distribution network to normal operation in densely populated areas, power engineers eliminated disconnections, replaced power poles, and in some villages had to rebuild the grid after severe weather almost completely destroyed it. Work was carried out around the clock.
After the disaster, staff did an excellent job processing applications from the public – in total more than 4,500 people received a satisfactory response, including private households and gardening partnerships.
As of July 26, 36 emergency response teams and 73 pieces of equipment were working in the area.
According to reports, more than 170 settlements in the Gomel region used mobile diesel generators from energy supply organizations, emergency ministry units, industry ministry organizations, etc. to eliminate the consequences of bad weather. Some of them will remain in the region as reserves -0-.
