Mr Mahindananda Aluthgamage said while speaking at a campaign meeting in Nawalapitiya as he informed party members about the victory of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
Mr Mahindananda Aluthgamage further commented that despite supporting Mr Ranil Wickramasinghe in the presidential election, he would never leave Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
Former Sri Lankan Presidents Mr. Podugana Peramuna Mahinda Rajapaksa, Mr. Chamail Rajapaksa and Mr. Namal Rajapaksa have decided to support Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe in this presidential election.
Mr Mahindananda Aluthgamage said that without MPs coming forward to support Mr Ranil Wickramasinghe of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, the Sri Lankan candidate could never have won.
Mr. Mahindananda Aluthgamage further stated that Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe will win the 2024 Presidential Election as all 08 members of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna from Kandy region are united in supporting Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe’s victory.
Minister Ali Sabri, State Minister Anuradha Jayaratna and Kandy District MP S. Velukumar also participated in the campaign meeting held in Navalapitiya area for Mr. Ranil Wickremesinghe’s victory.
