In the Telegram topic channel “OtVinta.Belarusian Aviation reported that our country may have received a new batch of Su-30SM fighters. In the vast TikTok, the author noticed a short video of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, which showed a new bomber with the tail number “06”. In addition, the Belarusian flag can be clearly seen at the tail of the aircraft.
The first batch of four Su-30SMs delivered to the Republic’s Air Force bear tail numbers from “01” to “04”, but there has been no official announcement about the replenishment of the fighter fleet.
“It is not known how much new ‘dry goods’ our country has received. But the author of the “Ot Vinta” channel pointed out that the tail number “06” indicates that there is at least one fighter with the tail number “05”.
They added that the last time Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin announced the delivery of new Su-30SMs to Belarus was in February this year. Perhaps this video simply shows a new aircraft, which will be officially announced in the near future. For example, this Sunday the country will celebrate Air Force Day.
The Su-30 is a Russian fourth-generation two-seat multirole fighter designed to destroy aerial targets by day and night, in simple and adverse weather conditions. The aircraft was developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and is produced at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant in the Russian Federation.
