The Pabna Express from Pabna to Rajshahi was waiting to depart at the Ishwadi Bypass station when the train driver (LM or Trainman) Aslam Uddin Khan went to the train’s toilet to answer the call of nature. But his mobile phone fell into the toilet bowl.

The incident happened at around 8am on Sunday. In this incident, the railway department temporarily suspended LM, ALM and the conductor. It is reported that the news reached the office of the Pakshi Divisional Transport Officer (DTO) and Manager (DRM) of Railways before the train reached Rajshahi. That night, after learning the truth of the incident, the LM, ALM and director of the train were withdrawn, and the train returned to Pabna from Rajshahi with replacement personnel. They were later fired.
Temporarily suspended LM Aslam Uddin Khan said he stopped the train at the bypass station and was about to leave for Rajshahi. Then his toilet came. He asked the co-driver to go to the toilet. But he ran into trouble because his phone fell into the toilet.
He alleged that one party had distorted the matter for political reasons and informed the railways and journalists.
In this regard, Train Officer (Guard) Anwar Hussain said that the train stopped at the bypass station on its way from Pabna to Rajshahi. At the end of the interval, when the prescribed signal to leave the train is given, the train moves towards Rajshahi. After traveling to Rajshahi, they discovered that the driver, Aslam Uddin Khan, was not on the train traveling from the bypass to the next stop, Abdulpur.
