ANGOLA – There is no doubt that we should give more consideration to the value of our players who do their best to represent their country overseas.

In recent days we have opened another window in an abandoned house in Brazil, yes, of course! I mean him, the athlete who had no chance to become a hero of Botafogo in the main football team – the famous “Palancas Negras”. Think with me!

But what is going on? I don’t know.

The “Brazil World Cup” is one of the most difficult football tournaments in the world, where the main stars of the Brazilian football team are spotted. In these competitions, the Angolan Bastos Quissanga stands out, a central defender who knows how to represent Angolans through football and perhaps also contribute to the liberation of tourism in our country.

On the other hand, the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) understands how to take advantage of the Angolan star who has been successful in Brazilian football, opening up a new horizon.

Recently, “Pitbull” from Botafogo expressed his interest in contributing to the national team during an interview in Brazil.

In the early hours of this Sunday (July 31), the athlete scored a header to secure a decisive victory.

Bastos Quisanga is currently a figure compared to Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, who gets the “Mr.” treatment. How is the Angolan treated?

Speaking to Brazilian media, the Angolan star recently stated in an interview with Globo Esport that his adaptation was easier at the Brazilian club compared to other teams he has represented.

The name “Pitibull” rings out in almost every stand and corner of Brazilian football and, in my opinion, this is the perfect time for Angolans to shine outside their own home, carrying the name of Angola as if it were the first country in the world.

Despite his absence from the “Palancas Negras”, the defender expressed his desire to shine again in the Angola shirt, as reported in an interview he gave to Brazilian journalists.

This Monday (August 26), Angolan commentator Carlos Pacavilla revealed on Zimbo TV’s “Prolongamento” program that Bastos Quisanga’s return to Palancas Negras is considered a matter of course.

“Bastos has already bought his plane ticket and organized a fan club to meet him at the airport”, he assured.

Botafogo’s Portuguese coach Artur Jorge, for his part, has guaranteed Bastos’s participation in a double commitment for the qualifiers for the African Nations Championship (CAN’2025) in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The coach said the central defender will arrive on September 2, adding that Angola currently has nine players including Bastos and Gelson Dara.

Bartolomeu Jacinto Quissanga, 32, has won several titles, including two Angolan Cups and a Super Cup (Petroleum Luanda), two Super Cups and an Italian Cup (Lazio), a Saudi Second Division title (Al Ahly) and the Rio de Janeiro Cup (Botafogo).

A graduate of ASA, he played for Petro Luanda (2010-2013), Rostov in Russia (2013-2016 and 2021-2022), Lazio in Italy (2016-2020), Al Ain (2020-2021) and Al Ahly (2020-2021. 2022-2023).

He represented the Angola national team at two Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), in South Africa in 2013 and in Egypt in 2019.

In 2020, he was named in the list of the best African players.
