The Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC), under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied, is organizing the seventh edition of the international conference “VITA 2024 on Investment and Trade Finance in Africa”, with the motto “Promoting local industrial development and technology transfer for sustainable and comprehensive growth in Africa”, on June 11-12, 2024 at the Hotel Lecco in the capital of Tunisia.
VITA 2024: Forum focusing on strengthening African industry:
This edition of VITA will discuss important topics regarding the future of the African continent in the presence of government representatives, African institutions, international donors and the private sector. The focus of this edition will be on the need to reshape cooperation between African countries and work towards regional integration, particularly through the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAF) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
Strategic Partnerships and Senior Representation:
The 7th VITA 2024 International Forum will be attended by many high-level delegations. Representatives from Namibia, South Africa, Nigeria, Uganda, Comoros, Seychelles and Poland will participate for the first time. The Democratic Republic of Congo (RDC) and Poland will be the guest countries of this forum.
Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister will lead a major delegation to highlight Poland’s growing interest in investment opportunities in Africa. The Chairman of the National Investment Promotion Agency (ANAPI) and the Governor of Kinshasa will lead a large delegation of businessmen to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Side events to support mainland development:
The Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC)’s international partners will organize a number of side events covering topics critical to Africa’s development. These include the Korea-Tunisia-Africa Business Forum, as well as investment conferences in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, Côte d’Ivoire (in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), and Nigeria.
There will also be a Polish Business Day, a conference on Industry 4.0 organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), presentations on Tunisian expertise organized by the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT) and the “Caravans” project of the Tunisian National Office for Tourism (ONTT) and the French Development Agency (AFD) and EXPERTISE France. In addition, the “Get’IT” network will focus on digitalization in Africa and the Tunisian automotive industry. The Association of Tunisia (TAA) will emphasize the importance of the Tunisian automotive parts industry.
International Engagement and Business Meetings:
More than 1,000 managing directors from more than 65 countries have confirmed their participation in this annual international event dedicated to investment finance and trade.
The Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC) plans to hold more than 2,000 bilateral meetings between businesses (B2B) and between businesses and governments (B2G) during the two days of the Forum. These meetings will provide a unique opportunity to build strategic partnerships and discuss innovative partnership projects.
Tunisia as a model for African transformation:
The seventh edition of FITA2024 will be an extraordinary event both in terms of the quality of participants and the richness of its content. Tunisia will be there to showcase its expertise and capabilities in the industrial sector to support sub-Saharan African countries in strengthening their industrial sectors and enhancing local value chains. The forum will be an extremely important platform to discuss economic challenges and opportunities on the African continent, strengthen South-South cooperation and promote sustainable growth.
FITA2024 will be a unique opportunity to promote strategic initiatives and partnerships aimed at revitalizing African economies and promoting inclusive and sustainable growth. The two days of discussions and dialogue will help to chart a clear path for Africa’s future economic development and highlight opportunities for local transformation and technology transfer, which are considered the pillars of Africa’s progress.
