riceurder was one of a string of serious charges that sent an 18-year-old man to Dodds Prison on Thursday to await trial.
Jonathan Antonio Campbell, of Block 1A, Wildy Meadow Road, St. Michael, is charged with the July 8 murder of Kevin Haynes and using a firearm without a valid license.
Campbell appeared before Chief Magistrate Ian Weeks and could not enter a plea to the indictable charge and five other charges. Those included causing grievous bodily harm with intent to maim, disfigure or disable, or cause grievous bodily harm to Keshawn Reynolds on January 25, and using a firearm without a valid licence; and damaging two cars – one belonging to Theresa Hamilton and the other to Jason Calderon – on January 8. He is also accused of criminally damaging a door of Helen Gill’s car and faces another charge of using an unlicensed firearm.
Campbell denies a charge of assaulting Noel Mitchell on April 29, 2023 causing him actual bodily harm.
The accused teenager will appear again in the A District Magistrates Court on September 26.
