The summer camp combines values and love for the land through engaging and exciting activities and attractions. ‘Masa Israel’s ‘Jerusalem Summer Camp’ is a 10-day educational, value-based and experiential summer camp.
The camp, co-led by the Jerusalem Municipality and Masa Yisraeli, is for those who have completed grades 7-11, allowing campers to develop and grow year by year, building connections and shared value experiences, full of Jerusalem content, leadership and leadership activities, and is now running for the third consecutive year, with subsidies for boys from the city. This important program is made possible by the strong partnership between Masa Israel and the Jerusalem Municipality, the Goodman Foundation and the Jerusalem Foundation.
Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon arrived for the closing ceremony at the Massa Israel village in Tor Sinai in the Jerusalem Mountains above Emek Azim, where he met with Maj. Gen. Bamir, Chairman of the Massa Israel Board. Together with them, Eliezer Shakdi toured the developing village, commenting on the progress of infrastructure works in the residential area for the boys and girls participating in the journey, commenting on the learning and experience areas, classrooms and reception huts there.
The pair spoke to the boys who attended the camp to learn about their experiences during their time there, particularly the complex year spent in the shadow of war and what it meant to have a parent drafted into the reserves.
