The National Meteorological Institute (INAM) said that Mozambique is transitioning from winter to summer and therefore very hot weather is expected this Friday (09), with maximum temperatures likely to be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius in the regions of Matutuin, Namacha, Boane, Moamba, Magude, Manhisa, Maracune and the cities of Maputo and Matola (Maputo province); and in the regions of Massingir, Chókwe, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chicualacuala, Mapai, Massangena, Chigubo, Chibuto, Guijá, Chongoene and Xai-Xai municipalities (Gaza province).
For Tete, Zambézia, Manica and Sofala provinces, the sky is expected to be generally slightly cloudy with local morning mist. Winds will be weak to moderate from southeast to northeast.
For the provinces of Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Nampula, INAM expects slightly cloudy and partly cloudy skies; occasional light rain is possible in the coastal areas of Cabo Delgado province; local morning mist; weak to moderate winds from southeast to northeast.
