The preparatory meeting for Sudan’s political dialogue ended in Addis Ababa, with a large number of international participants at the closing meeting, where political, political and civil forces reached a comprehensive vision on the parties, venue, time, themes, funding, etc. Participants agreed that the dialogue should be comprehensive and exclude no one, except those who have been convicted of war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, human rights violations or other crimes in accordance with the law and in accordance with the constitutional documents.
Based on the dialogue agenda and topics, the following topics were adopted:
End of the war, humanitarian situation, implementation of the peace agreement and completion of peace, transitional period, issues of transition and democratic transformation, specific issues, border and foreign presence issues and any other suggested topics. The participants agreed that Sudan will be the venue for the start of dialogue after the war, and the role of the international and regional community is limited to facilitation, and agreed that the dialogue between Sudan and Sudan will be held in Sudan after the war. Stop, consultations and coordination will continue to prepare for the desired dialogue.
The participating troops issued a political statement condemning the crimes of the “Rapid Support” militia, declaring full support for state institutions, urging the formation of a caretaker government of state power without party restrictions, and clarifying their positions on some issues.
