The State of Qatar chaired the 101st meeting of the Standing Committee on Arab Media, which took place today in Bahrain.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat in Cairo, chaired by His Excellency Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Nasser Al-Obeidan, Media Advisor to Qatar Media Incorporated, after the State of Qatar won the chairmanship of the committee with a majority of votes in the recently held voting process.
The foundation’s delegation to the Standing Committee meeting was led by Sheikh Ahmed bin Thani Al Thani, Director of the International Cooperation Office at Qatar Media Incorporated.
The meeting discussed agenda items, the most important of which were: supporting Palestinian media enterprises, the Arab media 2030 sustainable development map, the use of artificial BroadCast Unitedligence in Arab media, the development of a unified strategy for dealing with international media companies, and follow-up on the Arab media overseas action plan.
The committee will submit its recommendations to the Executive Council tomorrow (Tuesday) for approval at the 54th ordinary session of the Arab Information Ministers Council in Bahrain the day after tomorrow (Wednesday).
