Tobago’s labour market faces unique challenges and opportunities shaped by its small island economy. Key sectors such as tourism, fisheries and agriculture dominate employment, but diversification is urgently needed to ensure economic resilience. The island’s foreign exchange earning potential is closely tied to its tourism industry, which attracts international tourists and generates foreign exchange earnings.
Dr Bhoendradatt Tewarie, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West Indies and former Minister of Planning, will moderate the discussion.
