The Department of Health and Wellness Vector Control will be carrying out a fogging programme at St Philip, Christ Church and St George from Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30.
The force will carry out pesticide spraying on Monday in areas across St Philip including Padmore Village, Harrow Road, Parish Lands, Bushy Park, Harrow Lands, Nightingale Lands, Gaskin Road and Vineyard Leases.
On Tuesday, the team will visit the following Christchurch communities: Fair View Main Road, Dolphin Park, Bradshaw Hill, Yorkshire Development and Walronds Nos. 1 to 3.
On Wednesday it will be the turn of Cliff Meadows, Cox Hill, Cottage Vale, 1-2 Halton Terrace, Chapel Land with the Avenue, Breezy Hill and Hill View Meadows in St Philip.
The unit will remain in St. Philip on Thursday to fume Church Village, Dodds Tenant Area, Webb Hill, Church Land, Mandeville Avenue and surrounding areas.
This week’s spraying operations will end on Friday at St. George and Christ Church. Spray teams will target Hanson Crescent Drive, South District, Watts Village, Boarded Hall, Lower Greys, Dayrell’s Hill, Valley Vista and Frere Pilgrim.
The spraying time is from 4:30 to 8:30 pm every day. Please open the doors and windows to let the spray into the room. Children are not allowed to play in the spray.
The public should be aware that the completion of scheduled spraying activities may be impacted by events beyond the control of the force. In such circumstances, the force will return to affected communities as quickly as possible. (MR/BGIS)
