The spokesman of the National Police General Committee confirmed that the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Hun Manet, issued a strict order based on the wise assessment and prediction of the corruption plans of the extremist opposition at home and abroad. Under the strict guidance of Mr. Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Nate Savorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Command for Security, Order and Rescue of National and International Activities, and the National Police. The General Command of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) together with local authorities at all levels launched a plan to ensure security and public order to take measures to prevent and eliminate any strategy that creates insecurity and attempts to overthrow the legitimate regime. The Royal Government ensures the security of all political, diplomatic, economic and cultural centers, as well as the normalization of people and social life activities.
The spokesman said that through cooperation, strict action, vigilance, flexibility, liveliness and the rule of law, the rebellion plan of the anti-extremist organization will be destroyed, and corrupt organizations will not be allowed to take actions that undermine the social peace of the country. In fact, through the implementation of the anti-riot plan of the extreme opposition group scheduled for action on August 18, 2024, the authorities have checked and arrested 31 active members of the riot group (2 women), who mobilized troops to attack designated targets according to their plan, and confiscated some evidence (petrol bottles, knives, knives, sticks, rubber bands and bullets) to take countermeasures against the authorities. They have been controlled by the authorities and are ready to be sent to court for legal action.
The National Police General Council thanks the relevant forces and authorities for their active participation in preventing subversion and insecurity leading to the overthrow of the legitimate Royal Government, and especially thanks the vast majority of people who understand these values and peacefully support a legitimate government born out of the will of the people instead of engaging in sabotage activities with these extremists.
The National Police General Council also called on people from all walks of life at home and abroad not to be deceived by the corrupt political tactics of the extremist opposition, who always use the people as tools and disregard the lives and sufferings of citizens to serve their dirty ambitions to seize power, which goes against the principles of democracy.
