Korean cheerleading movies victory Coming soon to U.S. theaters. Ahead of its upcoming release in South Korea, Seoul-based sales company Finecut has pre-sold the film to 815 Pictures for a North American theatrical release.
Described as “an uplifting, heartwarming drama centered around a high school dance duo,” the film tells the story of cheerleaders who inspire an underprivileged school football team and the surrounding village on a remote Korean island. Director Park Beom-soo Seoul Singles and Red Carpetwhich premiered as the opening film at the recent New York Asian Film Festival, with one of its stars, Lee Hye-ri, being awarded the event’s Screen Honor International Rising Star Asia award.
Finecut also has deals for the film across Asia, including with Sky Films Entertainment in Taiwan, Lumix Media in Vietnam, PT Prima Cinema Multimedia in Indonesia, House of M in Thailand, an in-flight distribution deal with Emphasis Video Entertainment, and Westec Media Limited in Cambodia.
victory It will be released in North America on August 16, shortly after opening in South Korea on August 14. Finecut said release dates in other Asian territories will be spread out throughout August and September.

The film is produced by Annapurna Films of South Korea and executive produced by Anna Lee, who has produced many box office hits, such as Plenty of sunlight and Scandal Maker, victory Produced by Mindmark, a content IP company under the Shinsegae Group.
