McDonald’s Not where you expect to find it Rishi Sunak He eats there regularly, but it turns out there is one dish in particular that the Prime Minister likes.

As early as 2022, he revealed that breakfast rolls were His most common dish From fast food chainwhich caused some controversy.

This is because wrap At that point, the dish had actually not been on the menu for two years. Awkward…

However, it returned to the menu in February this year and became This was a big deal at the time.People went crazy for the £4.39 wraps, causing egg shortages just two days after they were launched.

But it seems Rishi missed the memo on the packaging once again, as he just shared the news of his return online.

The Conservative leader shared a picture of himself holding a breakfast roll on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote: “I love a comeback.”

While Rishi may be a big fan of the burrito, not all McDonald’s customers are fans of his favorite breakfast and have expressed their thoughts on social media.

@chxrliedore made a controversial post on X that read: “Breakfast wraps are overrated. Breakfast wraps – put hash browns in them, it’s king.”

@jaystyler_ agreed, simply writing: “McDonalds breakfast wraps are overrated,” while @_Hazpilicueta added: “Breakfast wraps are without a doubt the most overrated thing I have ever tasted.”

Personally, I’ve always been a sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin kind of girl, but I have to admit, when I saw the debate surrounding the stuff, I knew I had to find out once and for all which McDonald’s breakfast is the best.

I absolutely love burritos, and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so in theory, the breakfast burrito should be an instant winner for me.

However, I think this might be one of the few cases where I think the general consensus (and Rishi Sunak) is completely wrong.

Now, I don’t want to give you the wrong impression, the burrito is indeed delicious. In fact, it’s pretty delicious. After all, with sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese, and hash browns all wrapped up in carbs, it’s hard to go wrong.

But putting these ingredients in a tortilla wrap just felt a little off to me. I usually eat burritos for lunch or dinner. (Yes, I know breakfast burritos are trendy…but I’m just saying.)

In my experience, the burrito got a little mushy as I ate it, which isn’t the best combination with the texture of the egg. And because there were not one but two eggs in it, after a few bites, it felt like an egg burrito – and who really wants that?

As a hangover cure, I’m sure it’s a dream, but I have to say that for everyday consumption, a breakfast wrap with hash browns is by far the best option.

I know it’s more expensive because you have to order a side of hash browns (£4.09 for a rolled hash brown, plus £1.99), but boy, is it worth it.

Once you add delicious fried potatoes to the mix, the rolls are everything you imagine a McDonald’s breakfast to be.

First, since standard hash browns are much larger than the rectangular potato pancakes in the wrap, there are more crispy golden potatoes to go around.

The bread rolls also had a better filling-to-bite ratio. The fillings were just the right amount in each bite. The wraps were a bit more random in how much filling they had.

Another bonus is that the roll contains the sausage patty, just like a burger for breakfast. But unlike a regular McDonald’s burger, the bun here is a soft white roll, just like you would want a bacon sandwich to be. Not a sesame seed in sight!

Honestly, my only complaint about this roll is that it doesn’t come with hash browns.

Sorry Rishi, but @chxrliedore is right, it is overrated. Breakfast rolls really do rule the roost, and we are not the only ones who think so.

researcher Metro Lifestyle reporter Gregory Robinson also tried both the wrap and the roll and thought the roll was superior. But he did claim another breakfast item as his favorite.

“The bread on the breakfast wrap is more filling than the burrito, but it’s still a good option,” he said. “But the ultimate breakfast option at McDonald’s will always be the bagel.”

The reel has a cult following on social media, too.

@SirJamAsh Posted by X: “The breakfast roll is top notch, much better than the burrito, haha.”

@_fvcoutta here Say, “If you go to McDonald’s and get a breakfast wrap with hash browns and put the hash browns in your breakfast wrap, then you’re elite.”

@ItsHannio “I’m sorry, but unless you’re a McDonald’s breakfast roll, I really don’t care about you,” he wrote.

and Hannah Cooper Adding: “Oh hello @McDonalds breakfast roll (no cheese) with brown sauce. This is my new fave.”

Some even think it is better than the legendary McMuffinas @SophieLauren11 The post said: “I hate to say it, but McDonald’s breakfast wrap > McMax.”

I’m not sure if I will That Far Because the McMuffin will always be god-level, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned from all this, it’s that there’s nothing the British love more than McDonald’s breakfast menu.
