In Sochi, water supply is temporarily restricted due to an accident that will affect more than a hundred streets in the central district of the resort and the Khostinsky district for 24 hours. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Moscow Speaks”.
“A breakthrough was found in the main water supply pipeline with a diameter of 500 mm near Plastunskaya Street. During the repair, the operation of the pumping equipment will be suspended and the system will be emptied,” the press service of the Sochi Vodokanal reported.
The company said it planned to restore water supply on the afternoon of July 26.
On July 20, Krasnodar residents spontaneously held a rally due to a long power outage in 40-degree heat: they blocked roads and demanded “light”. The mayor of the city, Yevgeny Naumov, arrived at the scene, after which several people were detained for “insulting the authorities”. For those who stayed, the city leaders promised to be with them until power was restored to their homes, and even offered to “tie him to a pillar with handcuffs”. Regional authorities explained the problems as a malfunction of the Rostov nuclear power plant, which supplies energy to southern Russia.
Previously, 40 substations in Yalta had failed.
