The warning about ground-level ozone smog conditions applies to the whole of Bratislava. The Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) reports this on its website.
According to SHMÚ, the groups most sensitive to ozone include the elderly, people with respiratory and cardiovascular system diseases, allergy sufferers and asthma patients, young children and pregnant women.
Therefore, it is recommended to limit the time spent outdoors, shorten the ventilation of living rooms, limit physical exertion outdoors (manual work, sports activities) and refrain from activities that lead to the release of other pollutants into the air (e.g. painting, gluing, sanding, dusting, smoking, free burning).
