Slovaks remain keen on buying real estate in seaside areas.
One popular destination has long been nearby Croatia, where buyers take notice of investment apartments.
These areas are mainly islands with convenient transportation and are connected by bridges.
The most popular locations include the area from Zadar to Makarska, but can also be found in central Dalmatia.

Last year they were looking to invest in clients. As interest rates rose and mortgage market conditions deteriorated, property prices continued to fall. So if you have a lot of money “under your pillow,” you can invest in a variety of properties.

The same is true for cross-border leisure real estate, the charm of which most Slovaks discovered as early as 2016, later during the pandemic and most recently in 2022. But what does the demand look like today?
