The wife of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, who was killed in a bar on May 19, 2023, revealed to the British media that their hotel hosted foreigners who organized the murder of her husband a few days before the incident.

Vera Nikulaj admitted to the Daily Mail that her family unwittingly welcomed her husband’s accused murderer as one of the first guests of their newly opened hotel.
Nikulaj’s wife, Vera, who sat at the table where her husband was shot, told through tears that they were wary of the Albanian threat because of the blood feud, but they never suspected the British might be involved in the attack.
She said she first met Bridgeman at a hotel to help her rent a car.
“She kept making eye contact with Adyan. I said, I speak English, how can I help you? She asked to rent a car and Adyan arranged it for her.” She indicated.
A day later, she said her family was having dinner in the hotel restaurant, and Bridgeman and a British man involved in the activity were sitting at their table, according to her confession.
“She tried to pay with a credit card but it didn’t work. Adian told the waiter ‘don’t worry, I’ll pay’. They came to us and thanked Adian for paying for their lunch.” Virat Nikuraj said.

Likewise, Nikulaj’s 14-year-old son Luisi said he saw Simpson at the pool table in front of the restaurant where his father was later killed and ate at the same table with Simpson.
“The next day I was at the same table with him. I was eating beans and Simpson said, ‘Let me try this traditional Albanian food’. He picked up the spoon and started eating the beans from my plate. I told my mum that this guy looked a bit strange but Adyan said ‘Don’t worry son, he’s just a tourist, you shouldn’t worry about him’.” The 14-year-old said.
On the third day of his stay at the hotel, Nikulaj’s wife said Simpson, after eating pizza and beer in the restaurant, took the tray and tried to take it to the premises where staff and family members were working, but as she said, Adrian Nikulaj told him “don’t worry, leave it on the table, you are on vacation.”
“Simpson was curious and wanted to know what was going on behind the scenes.” Vera Nikulaj said.
The suspect, Ruben Saraiva, a Portuguese-born British resident, was seen lurking on the stairs near where Ardian Nikual was killed a few days before the incident.
According to the Daily Mail, local children reported seeing “a strange man who had been eavesdropping.”
A British court has accepted a request from Albanian authorities to extradite Edmond Haxhina and three others accused of murdering businessman Ardian Nikulaj, News24 reported.
The Westminster Court has decided in favour of the extradition of Edmund Hasina, Thomas Mison, Harry Simpson and Harriet Bridgman to Albania. It is understood that British national Steven Hunt will not be extradited due to his serious illness.
Haxjia and other Britons have the right to appeal the decision to the UK Supreme Court. Edmond Haxhia is accused by Lezhë prosecutors of being the organizer and financier of the murder of Ardian Nikulaj.
In the indictment, Lezha’s prosecutors said four other Britons travelled to Shengjin from the UK to spy on the victim and then provided information to Ruben Saraiva, who shot Nikulaj with six bullets.
Meanwhile, a Moroccan court extradited Portuguese Reuben Saraiva, suspected of being the executioner of Nikulajat, to Albania on December 31, 2023, after accepting the request of the Albanian authorities.
Killing
On May 19, 2023, businessman Nikulaj was killed as soon as he sat down at a table in his bar in Shengjin.
The murderer coordinated with other citizens, and from the moment of the execution, everyone left the border port.
The murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj followed a series of revenges between the victim’s family and another tribe, a conflict that has claimed many victims over the years.
