As a Qatari marketing strategist, I am pleased to share my insights into the recently launched Simaisma project in northern Qatar.
This groundbreaking project, managed by Qatar Diar Real Estate Investments, marks a new chapter in Qatar’s journey to create a modern, smart and sustainable city.
On Thursday, distinguished dignitaries, experts and officials gathered at the Sheraton Hotel for the inauguration ceremony. Among them was Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, who stressed the importance of the Simaisma project.
Receiving a massive investment of QR20 billion (US$5.5 billion), the Simaisma project is more than just a development scheme, it is a cultural landmark in the making that will redefine tourism in Qatar and elevate it as a unique destination for locals and visitors alike.
A highlight of this massive project is a seven-kilometre stretch of beachfront with stunning views of Qatar’s east coast, which not only enriches the landscape but also offers a unique tourism and entertainment experience for all.
Qatar’s real estate sector is expected to achieve significant growth, with the market value expected to reach $485 billion by 2024. The sector ranks second only to the energy sector in attracting foreign direct investment, and demand for residential and commercial properties has surged. Factors such as a significant increase in tourism, hosting of major events, and expansion of commerce and trade have driven the steady development of the sector.
The Simaisma project adds a unique landmark and tourist attraction to Qatar, which is becoming a hub for sustainable development and innovation. I believe this project embodies Qatar’s determination to embrace the future while preserving its cultural heritage, and I am proud to be a witness to the transformation of our beautiful country.
