Greek news agency ANA-MPA, in an article titled “Mr. Siljanovska: Not using the name North Macedonia does not constitute a violation of the Constitution”, said the President, in a statement made at a joint press conference yesterday with colleagues Jakov Milatovic from Montenegro and Bajram Begaj from Albania, in which she reminded that her documents, those he signs, those he has. Everything has a constitutional name, and that as a human being, from Socrates until today, I have the right to freely express my thoughts, to express my ideas, within the framework of freedom and thought, without considering this as a violation of the Constitution or international law.

At the same time, ANA-MPA also transmitted a statement about the attendance of Greek foreign affairs chief Giorgos Gerapetritis at the Southeast European Cooperation Process summit.

The text of the Greek News Agency was adopted by almost all online versions and conveyed under different headlines, including “North Macedonia: Siljanovska provokes again – the word Macedonia is not illegal”; “North Macedonia: Siljanovska insists – not using the constitutional name does not cause problems”; “Siljanovska provokes again: I did not use the constitutional name of S. Macedonia did not violate the constitution.”

Today’s Tanea newspaper, in an article titled “First handshake in Skopje without provocation”, refers to the participation of the Greek diplomatic chief Giorgos Gerapetritis at the PSEE summit in Skopje.

“Yesterday’s first handshake with a member of the Greek government was that of the President of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska, who met with Foreign Minister Giorgio Gerapetritis in Skopje within the framework of the annual summit of the Southeast European Cooperation Process,” the newspaper wrote.

He noted that Gerapetritis sat next to the president, adding that the summit itself, which was addressed by 13 representatives from countries in the region, “ended without any new provocations against Siljanovska’s use of the word Macedonia”.
